State Chapters of Women Aligned for Community Impact in Nigeria
Women Aligned for Community Impact in Nigeria will set up state chapters and an Abuja chapter.
Our states are blessed with enormous human and material resources. Many women and youths are hardworking, focused, committed, and dedicated to their careers, businesses, families, and societies. They are assets to their organizations, families, and communities.
Challenges & Opportunities
The challenge in our states has been the lack of coordinated social impact strategies. The state leaderships need to partner with the private sector to upscale women and youth empowerment strategies to improve women and youth impact in Nigeria.
The rate of unemployment is increasing at an alarming proportion. Impact organizations also need to focus on helping our women and youths become self-reliant through skill acquisition training programs, especially in agro-projects and digital technology.
Women and youths also need to be equipped with the knowledge, strategies, and skills to utilize their innate resources to work on becoming better versions of themselves and become assets to their families, communities, and society.
Leadership & Empowerment
Women and youths need to be equipped with leadership skills to improve the participation of more credible women and youths in our politics and leadership.
Women Aligned for Community Impact in Nigeria will nominate passionate and impactful women to be:
State National Coordinator (not necessarily residing in the state)
Deputy State Coordinator 1 (residing in the state)
Deputy State Coordinator 2 (residing in the state)
The coordinators must be women with the capacity and competence to achieve the objectives of the initiative.
Community NGO Engagement
The community NGOs in various towns in the states will subscribe to become members of Women Aligned for Community Impact in Nigeria. Each community NGO will:
Nominate their Liaison Officer and Deputy Liaison Officer to work through the state chapter and Women Aligned for Community Impact in Nigeria.
Implement the objectives of Women Aligned for Community Impact in Nigeria and the state chapter.
The community NGOs will be trained on data collection, pooling of funds, and will be helped to put together a project proposal that is costed appropriately.
Project Implementation & Management
The community NGOs in different towns pool funds for the project through the women, men, and youths of that community. The projects are executed under the supervision of:
Women Aligned for Community Impact Nigeria
State Chapter
ACT Foundation (Project Managers)
This approach ensures reduced waste and timely completion of projects.
Scalable Impact Model
This structure can be replicated in various communities of the states and will lead to fast development, social support, and empowerment for the indigent women and youths in our states. It will contribute to:
Reduction of unemployment rates.
Better engagement of indigent women and youths in our states.
Overall improvement in community impact and growth.
